Say “I do” to These Wedding Proposal Ideas

Updated: Oct 18, 2023

What is the best way to propose to the person you plan on spending the rest of your life with? It is an intimidating step to take for anybody who is in a committed relationship. We rounded up this below list of three popular ways to make a wedding proposal that will have your significant other saying yes before you can even finish popping the question.

First Date/First Meeting Spot

Take them to the place where you guys had your first date or where you guys first met. Your partner will not only find this to be endearing, but now this location has even more meaning and personability than before. If this place happens to be a Taco Bell or something of the sort, maybe find a way to incorporate Taco Bell‘s theme into the proposal rather than taking them to a fast-food restaurant and popping the question. Keep the gesture grand but relate it back to where you and your significant other either first met or had your first date.

Make a Scavenger Hunt

A scavenger hunt through the city is a super fun way to incorporate locations memorable to you both. The best part? Your partner will be so preoccupied with trying to beat the clock or win the scavenger hunt that they will not even notice that you have a better ulterior motive. When you begin to pop the question, they will be so surprised and ready to say I do.

Place the Ring in a Gift Basket of their Favorite Things.

Hand-deliver your special person a gift basket full of some of their favorite items. This could include chocolates, body wash, fragrances, strawberries, and more. Place the ring box at the bottom of the basket and make sure that you are guiding your significant other through the process of inspecting every aspect of the basket. When they get to the bottom and notice the small jewelry box, grab the box, and ask the highly anticipated question, “Will you marry me?”
