A well-tailored suit is the master combo when you must dress to impress!
Of course, you want it to match the right tie, shoes, shirt, and belt. However, the two-piece or three-piece suit itself will do wonders on its own, and everything else is just adding on top.
You'll need to buy one if you don’t have at least one suit.
Apart from looking more respectable and stylish, you will feel more confident in your suit than your washed-out, faded, ancient blue jeans, which match your vintage Def Leppard T-shirt.
As it goes with many things, there is a time and a place for everything. That also goes for jeans and your rock memorabilia T-shirts. But there are plenty of times when you need to look better than usual, and even more when it’s simply a helpful thing to have. So here’s a rundown of why every man should own at least one suit.
You Want to Feel Like a Secret Agent
Many men have been there, dreaming of all the fancy gadgets, fast cars, sexy ladies, and all in the best-looking suit possible, which you would look rather dashing in.
We want to look that tough without working to become that tough. At least wearing a suit checks off part of that equation. Besides, you can always affect a British accent… unless you’re British, in which case you’ll know how to affect one.
Some Things You Have to Do to Appear Stylish and Debonair
Single men no doubt know just how rough the dating scene is nowadays. The competition is intense, which raises the stakes. Women appear to have it in their heads that their perfect guy is perfect, and most importantly, that’s the guy they’re seeking.
Most women look for: money, cocky, looks, charm, personality, charm, sympathy, empathy, self-control, focus, determination, drive, and all some vague and arbitrary sense of humor.
That list of what women look for was cut short, but lucky for men! Something as simple as donning a suit will do more than many think it can.
Wealth? The suits look expensive. Swagger? A swagger that comes inherently packaged when wearing designer suits. Appearance? It's more than covered. Beauty, Brains, and So-Called Brawn? It all becomes easier when you’re confident. Sympathy & Empathy? … can dropping your jacket over a puddle so a lady doesn’t have to step in it work? Being sympathetic to the lady's wet feet instead of settling for a cold and wet upper body. Anyway, you get the point by now. A proper suit is the Swiss Army Knife of clothing; it’s multi-functional.
Wearing a Suit for Special Occasions
The only thought that should be running through your mind for formal occasions is wearing a suit. You will inspire no trust or confidence in every professional dove, regardless of whether the event is a wedding, funeral, anniversary, birthday, family event, etc. If you are the only one wearing your name brand tracksuit to a special occasion instead of a suit, this is often grounds for dissatisfaction and potential contempt.
It Wouldn’t Be Business Without Your Business Socks On
The suit says it is best when it comes to doing business. I couldn’t think of several other clothing options to do just that. Wear a suit if you’re going to a business meeting or job interview. There is little reason not to, and doing so seems, in part, to increase your chances of success.
Sometimes, You Get Better Service If You Act Like a Big Shot
Respect is often granted to people when earned or perceived to have been earned. If you are buying a house or traveling or engaged in any activity in which, in the end, analysis, people are serving you in a sense — they’re going to be more likely to give you a better service if they like and respect you. And is there anything that deserves more respect than a suit-wearing man? Maybe not, but a man in a suit gets more respect than most men.
